Renting a limousine is a fun and elegant way to travel to and from any location; for example, the airport, concerts, weddings, anniversaries and even a hit with birthday parties. Additionally, it is also a great way to make the detail of traveling effortless. Being in business for many years, we’ve heard plenty of stories and want to tell you the five questions you must ask to get the best experience possible out of your limo rental for your big day. 1. What is the minimum amount of time I can rent it for? Most of the time, when renting a limousine for more than just a destination - like airport travel, there is a minimum on the amount of time you must rent it for. Depending on the location, it can range from two to five hours for a minimum. But, every limousine rental company is different, so be sure to check with various companies before selecting a final service. 2. What are the types of limousines are available? Limousine companies have more than just one style and they usually range from luxury sedans to super stretch limousines. Make sure you know all of the types available and find the one which suits your need to help make any limousine ride a special occasion. Here is a list of the most popular: 1. Luxury Sedan: Usually a Cadillac or Lincoln Town Car 2. 6-Passenger stretch limousine: Fits up to 6 people. 3. 10-Passenger stretch limousine: Fits up to 10 people. 4. 12-18 Passenger Super Stretch limousine: Fits 12-18 people and can be rented as a Hummer, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition. Please note that the SUV style generally costs more because of their limited availability and increased gas price. 3. What are the included services when renting a limousine? This is a very important question to ask as it will cover any of those fine-print fees which you may not be aware of. Some of the additional fees can be related to fuel surcharges, beverages, waiting time, tolls and other miscellaneous charges. While this is not always the case, it is important to ask the rental company to be aware of any additional charges which may find their way on your bill. 4. Do I have to tip the limousine driver - and, if so, how much? Yes, you should tip your limousine driver. The driver is working in the service industry, just like a waiter, bartender or hair dresser is. A standard tip is 20% of the total rental fare. And if you believe the driver has exceeded your expectations and has been more than ideal - you may be inclined to tip more. It is important to note, however, that some rental companies will include the gratuity directly in your reservation. 5. Do you have any specials available? Always ask if there are specials! If you’re a new company, have an unusually large party, or are booking for more than one vehicle, there may be discounts available.
